At Double Diamond Riding School, we are proud to offer our students the opportunity to participate in our Student Work Program. This program is designed to teach commitment and responsibility while allowing students to fine-tune and expand their riding, training, and horsemanship skills.

- To be eligible for the Student Work Program, applicants must be at least 7 years old, enrolled in the Double Diamond lesson program, and have excelled in the beginner level of instruction.
- Students must have reliable transportation to and from the barn on their scheduled shift days.
- The Student Work Program is an educational opportunity where working students volunteer their time in exchange for valuable experience in the equine industry, both on and off the horse.
- Working students will gain hands-on skills and insights by working alongside our staff of experienced equine professionals.
- Tasks may include horse care, stable management, grooming, tacking up, and assisting with lessons and training sessions.
- This program offers a chance for students to obtain references for future job opportunities in the equine industry or other fields.
- Working students will also receive additional horsemanship instruction beyond their regular weekly lessons.
- The program emphasizes important life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, goal setting, time management, work ethics, problem-solving, patience, leadership, and self-confidence.
- Double Diamond management is happy to provide references for working students who have demonstrated proficiency and dedication in our program.
- Students participating in the program must be hardworking, determined, and committed to learning and succeeding.
- They must be able to work independently and be team players, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere of the barn.
Duties will include but not limited to:
barn chores, feeding, turn out, mucking stalls, watering horses, grooming, tack up and down, administer first aid treatments, and assisting instructors.

Any student wanting to be at our facility outside of their lesson time, must be on the student work schedule.
