- Monthly Tuition : At Double Diamond Equestrian Center, we offer a convenient monthly tuition option for our riding school lesson program. With this tuition, clients gain access to a range of valuable services, including horsemanship lessons, summer clinics, barn schooling shows, student work programs, and a video library for instruction outside of the arena. Please note that these services are exclusively for enrolled students only.
- Rider Attire and Footwear: Clients must adhere to specific attire and footwear requirements while participating in our riding program. This includes wearing proper riding attire such as helmets, boots with riding heels, and either jeans or breeches. Loose or baggy clothing, hats that may fly off while riding, dangling jewelry or rings that may impede the use of reins, and hoods that may impede visibility are not allowed. All jackets must be zipped. Additionally, students must secure their hair back and away from their faces and refrain from chewing gum while working with horses on the ground or while riding. Failure to comply with attire and grooming standards will result in the inability to participate in the class.
- Coachability and Attitude: We expect all clients to be coachable, positive, and maintain a good attitude throughout their participation in our riding program.
- Weight Restrictions: For the safety and well-being of our horses, all riders who will be riding the school's horses must be under 165 pounds and have a BMI of 25 or less. These restrictions do not apply to individuals who provide their own horses for lessons.
- Helmet Policy: The safety of our students is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, all students under the age of 18 are required to wear helmets during all mounted activities. Helmets must meet the current ASTM F1163 standard and be certified by the Safety Equipment Institute (SEI). Students are responsible for purchasing their own helmets.
- Compensation and Payment Terms: Our monthly tuition fee is based on the annual value of our program. Clients are required to have a credit or debit card on file, which will be automatically charged the tuition fee per month. Charges commence on the first day of enrollment and continue monthly thereafter. Unused credit will remain on the student's account and roll over to the next month. To update payment information or make changes to the credit card on file, clients can do so through their account. Riders must agree to a minimum term of 3 months to ensure meaningful progress in their riding skills.
- Scheduling: Once enrolled, each student will have the flexibility to register for classes or private lessons at their convenience through our scheduling website.
- Tuition Cancelations
- Withdrawal Notice: Riders can only withdraw from the program with a 30-day notice period, after the completion of the 3-month commitment period. Any lesson credit or future bookings will be forfeited at this time. However, all accrued credit will remain on their account until the contract is canceled. Please note that no credit will be refunded.
- Cancellation Fee: Anyone cancelling their program without providing the required 30-day notice will be charged a $250 cancellation fee. This fee helps cover administrative costs associated with processing cancellations.
- Early Contract Cancellation: Riders cancelling their contract before the 3-month commitment period has ended will be charged the full amount of the 3 months, in addition to the $250 cancellation fee.
- Cancellation Procedure: To cancel your contract, please send an email to [email protected]. We kindly request that verbal cancellations are not accepted.
- Lesson Attendance and Weather Adjustments: Monthly tuition is still due in full even when students miss their lessons. In the event that the weather prevents riding, unmounted horsemanship lessons will be substituted. If weather conditions prevent the barn from being open, the lesson will be canceled, and credit for the lesson will be applied back to the student’s tuition account. The best way to get the most value out of the program is to make it a priority and a commitment not to miss your dedicated lesson time(s).
- Tuition Pause: As of April 1, 2024, tuition payments can no longer be paused for any reason. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
- Late Payment Fees: Starting from July 1, 2024, all monthly tuition payments will be subject to a $5.00 late fee for every day the payment is late. We urge you to ensure timely payment to avoid incurring additional charges.
- No Guarantee
Each rider progresses at their own pace, influenced by various factors such as dedication, practice, natural talent, and individual circumstances.
While our instructors strive to create a supportive learning environment and offer expert guidance, the ultimate outcome depends on the student's commitment and determination.
Therefore, we want to make it clear that the riding school does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results. We believe in honesty and transparency, and we want our riders and their families to have realistic expectations about their journey with us.
We encourage all riders to approach their training with enthusiasm, perseverance, and a positive attitude. Remember that progress is a journey, and every step forward, no matter how small, is a reason to celebrate.
- Communications
- Communication with Instructors: During lesson hours, our instructors are focused on providing top-quality instruction to all our students. Therefore, they do not have time to discuss client goals and concerns on the spot. To ensure that your needs are addressed comprehensively, we kindly request that you schedule a goal setting meeting with your instructor.
- Scheduling Changes and Concerns: We value open communication and want to ensure that your experience with us is positive and rewarding. If you have any scheduling changes or concerns about the program, please communicate them promptly by email to [email protected]. This ensures that your messages are received and addressed in a timely manner.
